Agriculture Technologie is the application of technologies in agriculture, horticulture, or aquaculture with an aim of enhancing productivity, efficiency, and profit. Agriculture has been one of the oldest sectors of human civilisation and plays a crucial role in shaping global politics and economics. In recent times, agriculture has been among the fastest growing occupations in developing countries, requiring skilled professionals who possess the right combination of management skill, technical aptitude, marketing know-how, financial expertise, as well as entrepreneurial spirit. The agriculture industry is constantly looking for professionals who can deliver the required degree to attain entry-level positions or those who are willing to venture into newer areas of agriculture.

With the emergence of new technologies and improved methods of production, farmers have been able to increase their yields. In fact, the volume of agricultural production in India has been consistently on the rise, despite a slowdown in the economy.

Modern day agriculture is highly concentrated in the States of Gujarat and Punjab. However, in the backwaters of West Bengal the major role of agriculture technology is also taking up. There are several agricultural technologies that are making tremendous advancement in the fields of agriculture. Some of the latest and greatest in the list are – Biotechnology, Computer Technology, Electromagnetic Management, Integrated Crop Producers, No-till, Biomass Energy, Integrated Tillage, etc. All these technologies are making huge improvements in the yield and quality of the crops that are grown. In addition, some of these innovations have resulted in creating huge wealth.

One of the most successful innovations has been the introduction of yield monitoring sensors. This technology has led to the total elimination of manual labor thus making farming not only more economical but also more efficient. This is why farmers in India are now opting for sophisticated machinery in order to increase the productivity of their crops.

The demand for high-yield farming techniques is increasing since natural resources are fast being depleted. Since agriculture needs large amount of capital investment nowadays, the introduction of new technologies have helped farmers save a lot of money. The use of chemicals on a large scale is not possible anymore as it pollutes the environment. Farmers are now opting for natural methods of growing crops hence they are able to save a lot of money due to the new technologies introduced.
